Rock & Roll comes in many forms, holds many promises, evokes many emotions. Some have called it “The Devils Music”, a force of nature extracted directly from the darkest regions of the human psyche, evoking fear and even hatred throughout its existence. Others find comfort and sanctuary within its walls, a means of escape from the all too cruel reality that surrounds us all. Regardless of one’s opinion, the simple fact remains, Rock & Roll is alive, kicking, and most certainly taking names...

In the little town of Austin, Texas, two men have chosen to answer the beckon call of Rock & Roll and refuse to take prisoners. One calls out in a furious melody, the other an insatiable rhythm that shakes even the most hardened listener to the core. These ambassadors are Billy Leger and Eitel Colberg, collectively known as the Killa Dilla.

Alligator Wrestling Music

The Fabulous Fyshwick Brothers are an acoustic based swamp/pop band making quite a name for themselves, playing their foot stompin' music wherever they go. Their songs are full of flavour, layered with thought provoking lyrics and rhythmic grooves.

Historians have long pondered the origin of the Medina Sound. Just as the Mississippi Delta spawned the blues and the Mersey gave rise to the Beatles, so a steaming hotbed of creativity flourished at the confluence of Thomas Road and Medina Avenue. Pioneers of the style, such as The Lost Dogs and Dangerbyrd, created a unique fusion of improvised musicianship and blown speakers that went on to influence better known artists such as Felix Rodriguez and Dave James.

Buffered from the industrial influences of Kwinana Beach, an organic sound emerged in the early part of the century, which the locals would play to accompany their bizarre pastime of alligator wrestling. Though the alligators are now extinct, the music lives on, as performed by these youngsters, The Fabulous FyshwickBrothers.
